Morrigan, or MorriganPlus as he is known online, is a long time partner of Happy Squid Production and Design. Our work with his brand involved a complete, ground up redesign for his online presence!
FROM THE GROUND UP
We met with Morrigan to discuss the inspirations for his redesign, and what he wanted his brand identity to be moving forward. But before any final assets were created, we wanted to build a solid foundation from which to base our final design.
THE RAVEN
From the beginning of the design process, it was extremely apparent that an avian theme, specifically the Raven, would need to be present throughout the brand.
CELTIC MYTHOS
Taking inspiration from the client’s heritage opened up avenues for creation of a name and brand identity that the client truly resonated with. Pulling from Celtic Mythology, The Morrigan had elements of the avian themes, as well as a deep symbolism.
There was a clear desire to have the clients background in medicine and as a first responder represented in the final brand design.
A CAREER WORTH TALKING ABOUT
It’s not just a name, its how it looks.
From there, we moved to Fonts. Finding the right typeface to attach to a brand can be one of the most enjoyable parts of the Design Process!
What’s in a Name?
A name is all well and good, but what’s a a name without a recognizable logo to go with it? And here’s where all the pieces started coming together.
